In previous years, horses who were parented by two American Quarter Horses, but had too much white, could not be registered with the American Quarter Horse Assocation.  These horses, referred to as "crop outs", were then registered with the American Paint Horse Assocation.   Recently, the American Quarter Horse Assocation ruled to accept these horses into the registry and issued them certificates of registration for the AQHA; thus these horses can obtain dual registration. If you would like more information or further clarification on this ruling you may contact the APHA or AQHA.
